“Overbought” Is Tricky — December 15, 2023

Scott Welsh told us that avoiding an “overbought” market might keep us out of really good opportunities. He specifically cited the “V bounce” right after the Covid crash. By all reasonable metrics, it was overbought yet the market surged higher for over a year.

Jack Carter told us that he loves to jump on an already-moving train, so strongly trending markets are where he feels right at home.

Meanwhile, Guy Cohen laid out his view of where this bullish market will head. He sees a high, then a retracement to the 50 day moving average, before starting a strong bullish move.
